Dream Role
So, I'm not sure if this question really belongs on this blog, but since it's been dead lately, why not?
If you could choose any role from any movie (already in existence, or if you're really creative, one from your own mind), what character would you play as an actor/actress? This is assuming you actually enjoy acting, of course. So, who? and why?

The first two roles that spring to mind are Joel from Eternal Sunshine and Westley from The Princess Bride. But while I'd definitely jump at the chance to play either of those roles, I think it's more fun to play an intriguing villain, like Lex Luthor or Severus Snape.
I'd like to be the Elephant Man.
Han Solo or Indiana Jones. Probably the latter, as I don't think I'd survive freezing that well, even if I consider the third film and the TV series a disgrace.
It's just that childhood heroes go a long way.
How can I forget to mention being a porn star? Call me Buck Naked.
P.S. WLC, what's holding you back from saying what role you'll be doing?
Colonel Nathan R. Jessop, A Few Good Men.
William Miller in Almost Famous (because i identify with him), Wash in Serenity (because he's so frickin' funny), and Lt. Dan in Forrest Gump (because he's pretty much the opposite of me in real life).
and Moshe, i wouldn't want to be a porn star, because i would have to grow a mustache.
Jeremy! Welcome! Glad to see that you've read our blog. And thanks for not using any exclamation points. ;)
PM, that was pretty funny. I had to take a break to finish laughing.
I'm sad to see that most of you didn't give the WHY part of the question, which is actually the most interesting part. And I'll need some help with "Elephant Man" and "Colonel Nathan R. Jessop."
So you assume that since I asked the question, I have an answer ready? Well, I guess the first thing that comes to mind is Juliet from Romeo and Juliet. (shuttup! it's a great play!) And it's not mostly because she's such a famous heroine, it's because I'd love to play a tragic role and be able to move an audience to tears. but I'm sure there's a better option out there, I'll have to do some thinking.
Actually, Elephant Man was a joke
J. P. Hession is now Number Three
Soooo many things to choose from. From existing film performances, I would have loved to have given Detective Bud White in L.A. Confidential a shot.
As a comic adaptation, I would like to play Hal Jordan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hal_Jordan) in a Green Lantern movie.
As a character from literature, I'd really like to take a stab (no pun intended) at Artemis Entreri (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artemis_Entreri) from R.A. Salvatore's Forgotten Realms novels.
Well mr first instinct is to play Arwen simply because she ends up with Aragorn. But I should probably put a little more thought into it than that huh?
I think I would say Elizabeth Bennett from Pride and Prejudice. First, I would get to wear AWESOME clothes. Secondly, it would really challenge me because we both have a sarcastic nature, but to play her I would have to keep a straight face, which would definitely be a challenge. Actually it is a toss up between Elizabeth Bennett and Beatrice from Much Ado About Nothing, because she is sarcastic for pretty much the whole play and it would be fun!
I meant my not mr.
